Cisco Network Engineers

Network Engineer (NOC Support)

Job Description

Candidates will work in a Network Operations Center support large international data networks and infrastructure in critical banking and trading environment. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking certification is preferred
  • At least 2 years of working experience in a NOC environment. 
    At least 2 years working directly with Cisco products such as switches, firewalls and routers is required 
  • A general overall understanding of Microsoft server technologies (e.g.: ISA, SMS, MOMs).
  • A clear understanding of networking concepts and applicable knowledge of protocols and technologies such as OSPF, BGP, RIP, PPTP, IPSEC, MULTICAST, TCP/IP, Spanning Tree, VLAN, 802.11b, RADIUS, QOS, ACLs, firewalls, A general understanding of database concepts and some applicable experience is required.

Job Duties include:

NT Network Engineers

NT Network Engineer (LAN/WAN)

Job description

Responsibilities include overall network planning, standards and monitoring, and architectural changes to Enterprise Networks. Candidate must be able to multitask and be capable of managing project assignments.

Other tasks include performing architecture assessments, monitoring network health and forecasting future requirements, providing on-call and tier three support.  Proactively responds to calls, email and personnel requests researching and resolving technical problems.    Recommends and schedules maintenance, installs and configures new network equipment. The Engineer will be required to prepare documentation, project plans/requirements and communicate effectively with management and customers.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.  This position requires a BS (preferably in Information Technology) with 5years of data network experience.  Industry and Vendor Certifications are a major plus.

The candidate must have a solid understanding and be able to articulate their understanding of the following technologies: Cisco Routers and Switches, Spanning tree, wireless, Firewalls, access lists, VoIP, CESoIP, TCP/IP, IPSEC, NAT, OSPF, H.323, VOIP, QOS and MPLS. 

 

NT System Administrator

Job Description

NT System Administration, server break-fix, project management skills.
Install, configure and maintain Windows servers. Provide tier two support to affiliates and break-fix hardware support. Schedule installations and upgrades. Configuration of server Monitoring Tools i.e. Concord. Manages Enterprise Anti-virus software architecture.

Must have working knowledge of the following:
Windows server platform (NT2000/2003) and servers in a SAN environment (preferably EMC SAN); Omniback back up software; HW Vendor Platforms: Dell Compaq; Active Directory and Exchange 2000.Bindview and Symantec experience a plus.

Excellent leadership, analytical, communications and interpersonal skills
are required. Candidates will be required to travel to and from client locations. Must be able to work independently and provide after hours support.

 

Microsoft Exchange Administrator

Job Description

Manage Enterprise Exchange Environment

Candidate will be part of a diverse team responsibility for overall network planning, standards and monitoring, and will be involved in the architectural changes to Enterprise Infrastructure. Candidates must be able to multitask and be capable of managing project assignments.

Primary Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Enterprise Exchange Architecture.
  • Manage Enterprise Anti-virus and Anti Spam

Storage Resource Administrator

 

Job Description

The Storage Administrator role works under the supervision of the Storage Delivery Manager and is responsible for the day to day storage management as required by the Storage Managed Services contract and Service Level Agreements between DCI and the client. This is a technical role and is accountable for the day-to-day operations of the storage infrastructure.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for storage provisioning and availability at the customer site(s).
  • Provisions storage based on standardized procedures detailed in the Operational Run
  • Meet customer agreed upon SLAs.
  • Participates in the execution of the business continuance and disaster recovery plans as agreed upon by DCI and the customer.
  • Participates in the design and operational execution of the customer’s storage disaster recovery process as required.
  • Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with DCI and customer’s change management policies.
  • Performs necessary data migration, as required, as defined by DCI’s migration practices.
  • Responsible for configuration, layout and performance tuning of storage infrastructure.
  • Participates in the continual review and improvement of existing operational policies and procedures in compliance with DCI’s storage management best practices.

Storage Resource Implementation Spec

 

Job Description

 

DCI is an industry leader in providing SRM solutions and services that store, protect, move, manage and access the explosion of information content. DCI SRM based solutions and services enable enterprises of all kinds to effectively manage and leverage their information resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provides software related custom integration and implementation support at the customer site; this may include pre-site inspection, initial installation, troubleshooting, implementation, customization, integration, and outline orientation for the customer.

  • Represents DCI in a professional manner to the customer at all times. May train customer personnel when authorized.

  • Performs according to established best practice standards and recommends improvements. Prepares, maintains, and submits activity/progress reports and time recording/management reports in accordance with published procedures.

  • Keeps Project Managers informed of activities, alerting of any issues promptly. Provides updates to DCI tracking systems and or other technical applications for software implementation and Problem Reporting/Resolution. Completes end-of-project reports.

  • Seeks advice or assistance from management and/or Customer Support as required during difficult customer situations. Works in conjunction with customer support colleagues to ensure effective resolution of technical issues encountered during implementations.

  • Installs products in a Mainframe and/or Open Systems hardware environment. Performs moderately complex and/or extended-stay software implementations. Successfully manages relations with Customers utilizing negotiation and influencing skills to acquire the internal and external resources necessary for optimal results. Supports Program Managers, Project Managers and Solutions Architects in developing Scopes of Work and Project Plans. May also occasionally support other activities as needed.

  • Maintains awareness of existing or potential customer software and machine situations. Proactively alerts customer and manager of potential problems based upon strong working knowledge of software and hardware compatibility within the customer's environment. Actively works to educate others in the region and nationally on potential problems and resolutions.

Experience and Education

Storage Resource Architect

 

Job Description


The architect will be responsible for designing, documenting and maintaining the storage and/or the backup/restore infrastructure in order to meet agreed upon SLAs. Additionally, the Architect will be responsible for modifying DCI’ss measuring and reporting tools as required for customer SLA sign-off. The Architect will integrate DCI’s operational best practices in order to merge the customer’s storage operations with the Storage Managed Services best practice. The Architect will be required to maintain a strong knowledge of emerging storage technologies and to provide input to the SRM team and customer regarding continuous improvement opportunities.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participates as a technical expert and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered in the engagement.
  • Translate high-level requirements into specific designs for large-scale, high-performance storage systems & distributed computing environments
  • Design steps will include requirements analysis, performance analysis, benchmarking and bandwidth analysis, detailed design of the system
  • Equipment integration steps include system configuration, system component testing, network testing, benchmarking, test procedure development, and system integration
  • Other tasks may include creating & maintaining bill of materials and interconnect diagrams, supporting site surveys and facility work in preparation of delivery of hardware to sites, helping with the resolution of system issues at deployed sites, and developing the appropriate documentation

1.  Oracle DBAs

Responsibilities include installation, configuration, tuning and support of the Oracle product suite, including the Oracle database, Oracle Reports, Oracle Application Server, WebDB and Oracle Parallel Server. The candidate must possess in depth knowledge of PL/SQL. Knowledge of other database systems is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Will also analyze and recommend Open system software configurations for any and all Open system enterprise platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Related Field
    4 years experience in UNIX administration or any equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Thorough knowledge of design/capabilities of Open Systems and Network Concepts
  • Solid Communication Skills, verbal and in writing

3.  Security Specialists

Advanced technical and analytical position responsible for tech consulting and system security design for implementation mgmt and operational support of network communication systems. Acts as designer and analyst of simple and advanced system security. Responsibilities include extensive knowledge of information system security principals, data communication protocols, access methods and architecture, knowledge of network security management access and authentication data integrity, business recovery, operating environment requirements, physical security, problem analysis, troubleshooting and repair skills.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Related Field
    4 yrs support of networks and network devices and familiarity with CISSP credentials or any equivalent of educ and experience

4.  HP-UX Consultants

Responsibilities include fundamental UNIX and network administration support such as system configuration, operating system installation, patch management, use of LVM for disk and file system management, backup and recovery support, and print spooler management. Project management skills are essential. Customer support and troubleshooting, includes remote support via pager notification with 7x24 coverage.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Related Technical Field
    Five (5) Years UNIX Admin Experience

5. Cisco Network Engineers

Responsibilities include: proficiency on Cisco networking equipment including Routers and Switches, Network Troubleshooting, and use of the Cisco IOS software. Network Management using CiscoWorks, and Openview is helpful.

Candidates will work in a Voice Operations Center to support a large international voice network and infrastructure in a critical banking and trading environment. 
Required Skills:
Technical Degree, 1-2 years Exp in a large network, must have excellent communication skills.  

Shift Coverage:  Operations Support 7x24 hour, 12 hour Nights/Days shift work.  

Responsibilities will include:

  • Avaya call trace: from user phone to external PBX.  (Components/Software)
